The Akron Zoo was our first experience with being treated as VIPs just for being a "zoo book author." This cute little zoo kicked off our 1st "Four-fer"—four zoos in four days. Gabe and I "discuss" the feasibility of doing this zoo thing with very little money and no book contract as of yet. We stayed with an old college buddy and her family. Highlights of the zoo included: the snow leopards fighting, the blue-eyed lemurs, our first capybara sighting, a new and impressive jellyfish exhibit, and feeding the goats.
