Columbus Zoo and Aquarium - August 1, 2009

ImageWe could take you on a tour of the Columbus Zoo with our eyes closed (but that wouldn't be much fun). We go there all the time but didn't officially count it until the end. There's so much to love about our hometown zoo (I just wish we had giraffes!). My personal favorite is probably the bonobos—closely related to chimpanzees and rare in zoos. They're always doing something crazy, causing a scene. The gorillas and orangutans are great. We love Asia Quest—especially the tiger exhibit where the big cats walk right up against the glass and stare you down. We have koalas! You can feed lorikeets. And ride a train, carousel, or boat. We have moose and grizzly bears—and polar bears are coming soon! You can pet all kinds of animals and see Beco, our baby elephant. We have a great Animals on Safari Show, and if you like rides and getting wet, Jungle Jack's Landing (amusement park rides) and Zoombezi Bay (water park) are fantastic!
