We've heard several people say that this zoo is the best in the nation. It just goes to show you that Zoo Ranking, like figure skating, is a subjective sport. We liked the zoo, but I don't think it even made it in our Top Ten. The Desert Dome and Kingdoms of the Night exhibit are probably the most impressive of their kind in the world, but if you're not a fan of desert/nocturnal animals… We enjoyed Lied Jungle, but several zoos have caught up with Omaha on the rainforest front. One of our favorite exhibits was the Orangutan Forest. These intriguing animals were in the mood to entertain and a delight to watch. Don't let our review keep you away though—for someone with different zoo tastes than ours, there's a lot to love about Omaha's Henry Doorly Zoo.
