Phoenix Zoo - July 20, 2009 |
|
Phoenix is a place that normal people visit in February, not July. We Ohioans weren't used to triple-digit temps—especially not 115 degrees! Honestly, we got in and out of the zoo as quickly as we could—without skipping anything. Our favorite exhibit, hands-down, was Monkey Village. Imagine tons of adorable little squirrel monkeys roaming free, swinging from tree to tree, scampering across tight ropes--right over your head! It was too much fun. We've never seen anything like it! We also got to feed giraffes—always a hoot. Their giraffe feeding exhibit is fairly new, so the docents were still getting used to the whole procedure. They were surprised to meet our girls who are old pros at feeding giraffe-folk. We loved sharing our Zoo Story with everybody. If you have plans to visit the Phx Zoo, may we suggest the winter months?
