Toledo Zoo - September 20, 2008 |
|
We toured the fabulous Toledo Zoo in a party of 12—our family of five, two blog friends, one hubby, and four little boys. The highlight of the day was Gabe sitting on a swarm of ants and picking them out of his shorts the rest of the day. We saw a tiny baby langur monkey, some massive hippos, playful polar bears, white lions, gorgeous giraffes, orangutans, lions, tigers, gorillas, elephants, rhinos, zebras, and chimpanzees. It was the most complete zoo we've visited yet. "Was there any big animal we didn't see?" I asked Livi as we were leaving. Her answer? "I didn't see any sloths." Right. The mighty sloth. Darn that sloth-less Toledo Zoo.
