What a beautiful place. The animals and their exhibits are phenomenal—flamingos, giraffes, zebras, lions, hippos, elephants. We loved the Sky Ride—seeing all these animals from the clouds. More cool rides—including getting soaked on the Congo River Rapids. The new Asian exhibit, Jungala, is gorgeous. We spent lots of time watching four playful tigers—2 white, 2 orange. At one point, Mr. Orange nearly scared Ms. White off a cliff. She fell and caught herself by her front paws. The whole crowd gasped in horror. Then sighed in relief. Again, lots and lots of people, but what a great day!

Big theme parks aside, the Tampa Zoo is our new favorite. Hundreds of incredible animals, and the lush, tropical exhibits were simply stunning. So much greenery and waterfalls at every turn—gorgeous. Our favorite animals were the white tigers—a mama and two small cubs. They put on a cute little show for us—pouncing and play-fighting. Cincinnati may brag about being the "sexiest" zoo, but we've never seen more baby animals than we did at Tampa—baby orangutans, chimpanzee, siamang, colobus monkey, mandrill, elephant, pygmy hippo, meerkats, and sting rays. We love babies! The rides were a huge hit (free ride bracelets!). The girls loved riding camels, ponies, the Sky Ride, Safari Ride, roller coaster, carousel, and Flying Bananas. Fabulous zoo! Three thumbs up!

Is Sea World a zoo? Maybe not technically, but they're part of the Zoological Society, and they have tons of amazing marine animals (and they gave us free tickets), so they're in! We're huge Sea World fans, and the park did not disappoint. The crowd reached capacity, so lines were long, but we had a blast. We loved the dolphin show—so amazing. And Shamu is just incredible. How do you go about training the ocean's biggest predator to love on humans and let them ride on his back? We also got to see Shamu's nighttime Christmas Miracles show—phenomenal. Add in the Sea Lion show, the penguins and sharks, and Shamu's Happy Harbor, and we were happy (tired!) campers at the end of the day. We'd love to visit Sea World San Antonio and Sea World San Diego this year as well. We'll see!
